According to the American Heart Association (AHA), if CPR is performed immediately, it doubles the chances of survival when occurring in an out of hospital environment. Knowing the basics of CPR gives you the ability to possibly save someone’s life if they go to cardiac or respiratory arrest.
What is this course?
This CPR course is to teach the CPR skills on adults, child and infants of how to do efficient compressions, use a bag mask device for artificial ventilation, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to help a victim, no matter the age, who is choking. First Aid is also included to prepare the individual on how to assess and what to do in an emergency situation. Completing this course results in a 2 year AHA certificate of completion for CPR, AED and First Aid which meets the requirements if a job is requesting CPR certification.
Who should take this course?
This course is targeted towards people with little or no medical experience who needs a CPR certificate completion card for their job, such as teachers, daycare workers, coaches, foster parents, babysitters, security personnel and etc.
